This enchanting steak restaurant is situated on a steep hill in Quito, offering great views over the surrounding streets and into the mountainous distance. San Telmo is an attractive venue, with modern architecture, a fringed roof, and an elegant 'fine dining' interior.
The restaurant specialises in Argentine steaks, well known for being some of the best meat in the world. These famed cuts will melt in your mouth, rich and tasty in all their juicy succulence. As well as superb steaks, there are also delicious seafood dishes on offer and some lovely chicken options.
The atmosphere of San Telmo is very elegant and peaceful, and you will be lulled by the ambience. Be aware that there are no vegetarian dishes - this place is for carnivores! You can choose to either sit either outdoors or indoors - there is a really warm and cosy fireplace inside the restaurant, perfect for the cooler months.
There are four main dining rooms in the restaurant, two of which overlook the beautiful old town of Quito. There is even a private area for parties up to 25 people who would like to celebrate birthdays or conduct business lunches. San Telmo has also recently opened a wine bar, offering a great selection of vintages and a chance to smoke with a glass of red.
