Description
Embark on a 5-day adventure in the Antisana National Park and the Choco Cloud Forest. Trek through the stunning landscapes in search of the Andean bear and observe the majestic condor. Day 1: Quito Start your adventure in Quito. Be picked up in Quito early morning to increase your chances of spotting the condor along the way. Make a stop at the Rock of the Condor. Trek the Andean páramo, where Andean bears dwell year-round, foraging for Achupallas and sleeping under bushes along the great canyons of the Antisana National Park. After lunch, return back to Quito on the way to the Maquipucuna ecological reserve in the heart of the Choco Forest. On the way to the cloud forest, have the chance to observe the magnificent Antisana Volcano and its snow-capped crater. Venture into the magical cloud forest. Day 2-4: Maquipucuna During your stay in Maquipucuna, have the chance to enjoy a beautiful landscape teeming with birds such as the Trogon, the Andean cock of the rock, Motmot, and multiple Andean Toucans. Descend along the Andean range, venturing deeper into the cloud forests of the Chocó Andino to explore several reserves. The chances of spotting a bear are high during the fruit season, from September to November. Day 5: Quito Rest in Quito, buy some souvenirs, visit its beautiful churches and cafes.Includes
