Haciendas
Restored to its former glory, this 200 year old hacienda located close to the Ingapirca Ruins offers a rustic stay. Traditional in every sense, each room is decorated with authentic handmade knitting and colonial hand crafts. Comfortable and peaceful, the rooms at Posada Ingapirca provide a perfect spot from which to explore one of the most important archaeological complexes in Ecuador.
The Posada has a range of elegant social areas including a traditional restaurant, billiard room and bar. The surrounding gardens are well-kept and provide a beautiful backdrop to the rustic setting. Food served in the restaurant is warm and hearty with traditional farmyard treats that you might expect such as soft cheeses, sticky molasses, stewed tomatoes and local corn liquor.
Other facilities include a transfer service (on demand), horseback riding, private parking, and a TV and game room.
As you would expect from a traditional hacienda, the rooms at Posada Ingapirca are simple but comfortable. There are 23 rooms in total, meaning that the setting is both intimate and peaceful. Traditional décor, indigenous masks, colonial sculptures and teak woodwork can be found throughout the inn. A range of different rooms are offered from singles to doubles, triples to suites, however, each bedroom has the same central features such as private bathrooms, wall-to-wall carpeting, electric heating, minibar, and fireplace.
