Lodges and Inns
Cuyabeno Lodge started operating in 1988, the first lodge in the Reserve, with the mindset that a rainforest lodge should be in harmony with the surrounding environment as well as sympathetic to the visitors' needs.
The Lodge nowadays provides the most comfortable and spacious independent cabins in the Cuyabeno National Wildlife Reserve. The cabins are solidly built and have thatched roofs and clean tiled private bathrooms with hot water showers, and comfortable furniture that includes curtains and mosquito nets. Illumination in the Lodge is provided by gas lamps and solar energy in order to avoid impact on the the environment.
The lodge counts with native bilingual nature guides and offers a variety of different activities, including canoeing, hiking, and a visit to the Siona Community.
